Wining and Dining
To quote once again from The Rough Guide "The Birchwood Hotel...has a particularly good restaurant." We think it has improved since that was written.
The dining experience is central to many guests' enjoyment of their Birchwood holiday. The menu, offering a tempting and imaginative choice, is recreated each day by Viv and your meal skillfully and carefully prepared utilising the best of Scottish produce. Every dish served at your table, including the splendid soups and mouth-watering deserts, is prepared and cooked in our kitchen.
Given reasonable notice, Viv is happy to provide for most special
dietary requirements. Gluten sensitive diners (Ceoliacs) have been particularly impressed by being served by dishes in every way as appetising as those served to fellow diners.
Throughout the summer the dining room windows look out on the soothing greens of the lawn and woods, enlivened ocasionally with an opportunist walk-on by red squirrels or roe deer.
Naturally there is a well-researched selection of new-world and European wines to complement your food.
